Hi, I'm thinking of getting into ppc marketing but haven't got hundreds of dollars to throw down the drain untill i get the hang of it. If you are really carefull and do the reasearch, do you think it's possible for a beginner to make money on their first campaign with a total buget of about $60 with another $30 of free clicks thrown in. Or do you really need a few hundred to get going. Most guides talk about testing for weeks on end with $50 a day, but can you start small time and get results. Thanks
Thanks for your opinion. Looks like I'll need to dive in with a fair amount to get anywhere. Anyone else had better luck ?
I started my Adwords, with a budget of around £2 per day... and started making money. My budget is much higher than that now, but it worked for me doing it that way. Start with what you can afford and slowly work it up. The more you can spend, the more data you can analyse and the quicker your ads can be bettered, non-performing keywords, dropped etc. Money makes money.
it doesn't matter how much research you do... you will make costly mistakes at first and you need to be prepared to lose it... On average it takes a knowledgeable new affiliate between 1k and 5k to figure out how to make money with affiliate marketing
Could you sign up for loads of free clicks accounts with different smaller companies and spend $100 to get 2 or 300 back and go from there, using all these different accounts to target one campaign ? People seem to be offering free clicks everywhere depending on your initial spend, or is that just a waste of time and you're better off sticking to the major players with one account.
I started with $10/day and have been averaging about $14.50/day in income. So yes, IMO, you can start cheap. What I'm trying to do now is figure out how much I made that day and use that as my budget for the next day. Unfortunately I can't seem to get them to spend my money so that's not working well. For the last several days they've only been spending $6-9/day on Adwords. But I've been making 50-100% more than that so I can't complain too much. Good luck!
Yes you can start as small as you want, but you will make mistakes that everyone does and it may end up costing you more just in learning. But if you're patient, you can do it.
