camcorder battery help

    i have a JVC camcorder and i have a battery that came with it and it only lasts for 1 hour... its the small battery that you can attach to the back of the camcorder..

    its a mini dvd camcorder and i need HELP finding a battery for it that lasts 4 hours so i can tape the basketball games for my high school..


    ** back of the battery that lasts for 1 hour says:

    JVC battery pack bn-vf707u , DC7.2V, 700mAh


    ******The camcorder is:

    32X optical zoom wide (16:9) multi language on-screen

    digital video camera MINI DV

    the battery is 7.2 V


    ** ANY HELP I CAN GET IS APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!!

    Where do you live? Cause I can honestly say if you live by a BestBuy they most likely have that battery or can use their 'part search' to order you one. Should only be about 50$ too.

    In my experience, the 4 hour battery is physically 3 times as big as a normal 1 hour one.

    need the model number of the cam corder, but you might be looking at $100+ for a 4 hour one

    If a 700mAh pack lasts for 1 hour, then you'll need 4 x 700mAh = 2800mAh.

    Amazon have 1400mAh packs here (which they claim will last for 3 hours). If you desperately need 4 hours (without changing packs), you could get somebody to make up a custom pack for you - but then you'd probably need to get a good quality hobby grade charger too....
