This is a question for my Australian friends. I am trying to call someone in Australia from the United States. I have a 9 digit number here. How do I go about calling? Do I hit "1" first, just the number, or any other numbers before the number? I am having trouble getting through. Thanks in advance.
Just punch in the number you've been given and if that doesn't work ..then dial 0908 019 9315 and have your credit card at the ready.
You have to dial the long distance number, then 61 for Australia and then what you've been given. It's nothing to do with Australia and just standard dialling from your country. The us has different codes for local, medium distance and long distance.
011 (calling international number) 61 (Country Code) ????????? (Telephone number - if not cell phone then including area code - no leading zero, if any) so. 011 61 ????????? (Telephone number - if not cell phone then including area code - no leading zero) IMPORTANT - check the recipient's local time before you call. http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/custom.html?continent=australasia I really hate receiving calls from the US, as they always seem to wake me up
