Isn't facebook for only university and college students and you need an email from your school to register ? Doesn't that leave a lot of people out ?

I know my son registered on facebook and he told me he needed a university email.

not anymore...with myspace taking over facebook as the #1, facebook opened to anyone with a valid email. you just can't join all the college groups without a college/univ. email address...

Oh, it seemed like a pretty legitimate website for teens and university/college students, I guess since its open to general public now there is much more spam and useless information. My son just told me there is a greater chance of 'stalking' too, whatever that concept is.

I was expecting a lot of spam once it opened to the general public, but it's still pretty much the same. And the privacy controls are much better than on myspace, so you can avoid the stalking (i.e. you can make your account hidden and no one will see you unless you add them as a friend first.)

When I first saw this thread, I thought it was going to be an attempt at spamming Facebook, but glad to see it was something worthwhile ;)

    Thanks for joining. :)

For anyone that likes Facebook, join the group. For those that are looking to spam facebook, hold on for a new site my friends may be launching in the coming weeks. ;)

Ah Facebook. Even I use that ;)

Yeah, facebook is for real networking with real people you know from work, school, college not for random spam profiles, it's pretty good so far:cool:

    Your group needs more people!!

Facebbok opened its doors to the entire web a few months ago. Initially it was exclusive to colleges and universities. BTW I joined your group on Facebook.

Are there really only 6 Facebook members here?

Maybe because Facebook deletes accounts and blocks spam more than myspace! :D
