Calling all bloggers

Just a bit of advice really, I have recently started a new site which appears in my signature, as its a new concept im assuming it would be worthy of being blogged about.

My questions are, how could i get it to be picked up by blogs, is it approriate to email blog owners directly and ask to be blogged about? or is this something that is not appreciated by bloggers. If contacting them is ok, how should i word the email? and finally what type of blogs would i want to contact for a site such as this.

I have also written an article about the site, could i offer this or do bloggers normally prefer to have their own work featured on their blog.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

 

That must be a new concept - your directory isn't in the Google index yet.

That is pretty cool, what happens after the first draw, do you get another chance or is that it?

 

As soon as another 200 links are snapped up there will be another draw. it will continue like that.

 

So you do get entered again?? If so the first 200 would have the best chance?

 

i think the first 200 will not be included in the second draft unless they buy another link

 

InnovationZen is correct, sorry for not being clearer on that point. The next 200 links/numbers will be eligible, the lottery will always take place but i want numbers to be the theme of the site, so in future i will give prizes and cash for highest combined total of numbers, most consecutive numbers and incorprate other interesting uses for the numbers/links.

 

if there is anything that anyone else is unsure of please say, it will give me the oppertunity to update the info on the site
