"Call Today for a FREE Consultation"

Is this tried and tested, or overused and outdated?

Anybody have other calls to action that are a bit fresher?

    Thanks!

Instead of "Call" why not "Claim" and use an optin box for follow up?

Claim is a good substitute. I like that idea. I was thinking offline advertisements, not online. You are on base that online there are better options.

I hear it everywhere, and I cringe when I put it in my own writing. Maybe it works and that's why it's used so much. I personally put it in the "If I can do it anybody can" category as an overused phrase that has lost its meaning due to overuse.

Any other opinions or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Sweeten the call to action maybe

"Call or e-mail today for a free consultation and a chance to win a free gift" (Or article or whatever)

I always say "Contact us for a free consolation" because "Call" is outdated most of my communication is email.

"free consolation" is timeless and effective it is pressure free and basic. Personally I get really turned off by gimmicky sales pitches.
