CALL ME CRAZY - I have noticed a trend with google links and SERPS.

I noticed in the last backlink update that Google seemed to store more of my links that were on websites in the format for http://www.(MYSITE).com ... Than they did the links that were in the form of an anchored text.

NOW before you go jumping on my case, I will aknowledge that link text is VERY important and plays a lot of importance to SERPS but I think more so now that ever google is starting to give a little more link juice to site that are linked to directly like above rather than anchored text.

I may be way wrong but it doesn't hurt to throw the idea out there, what do you guys think?

I think anchor text is a very important factor in SERP.. but direct links help too..

    Yes, that's right!

Anchor links were important, both from intramural and external.

Anchor text is better to get your keyword faster on the SERP

I've found that it's nice to have a mix of url links and anchor text links. It's far more natural. If Google sees 1000 incoming links to the same page with the same anchor text, it gets suspicious. Wouldn't you?

It's also a good idea to mix up your anchor text links a bit too. It looks far more natural AND you will get more long-tail search visitors.
