Calendar Useless?

It seems most forums ditch the calendar link at the top of their forums. Is there a way to disable the calendar in vbulletin options or do you need to delete files?

Can you just change the link in the nav bar from calendar.php to say my advertise page and rename the title Advertise?

Any suggestions would be great thanks.

I find this a very useless feature, I cannot remember the last time I used it or even if I ever used this feature?

    IMO, worthless.

Admincp -> Calendar you can disable it by typing "0" for the display order, or you can just delete it.

Calendar might be userful for a history related site, so it's all about your niche.

    Most sites/forums don't need a calendar indeed.

You can always edit the navigation menu and remove it from there completely.

I do use the calender in my forum, though not that much. It really depends on your forum's niche and level of participation.
