just checked this tool. it shows $4/month for the standard banner 468x60

What domain did you check? Ill have a look...you tell me, does your traffic reflect the estimate? The network also has the facility to set your own ad prices if you think its automated calculations do not reflect your site's worth (or indeed if it overvalues).
