I've been programming in PHP & MySQL for a few years but almost never work with the command line because when I do, things always go awry.

I've been playing with CakePHP for a little bit but I'm completely stumped when it comes to installing & using the cake console as well as deploying an app to the web server.

I'm looking for someone who can meet for 1-4 hours in Montreal to show me the basics (outlined below). I don't need an explanation of MVC, I understand the basics of using models, controllers and views. I also don't need any help creating MySQL databases or programming in PHP.

Here are the subjects I would like instruction in:
    • Installing CakePHP on MAMP (100% correctly)
    • Using Terminal to access & run the cake console locally (ie. bake, install plugins, create scaffolding templates)
    • Deployment to web server
    • Using Terminal to access & run console on web server
    • Upgrading CakePHP when necessary
    • Using Development & Production CakePHP environments
The command line, editing .profile & .bash_profile files and other aspects of the command line use in regards to CakePHP are what I really need help with.

    You should:
    • Work on a Mac with MAMP
    • Have a firm understanding of local and web based development & deployment of applications using CakePHP
Please PM me if you are interested in this kind of work.

    Thanks,
    Eric
