Selling Cake Recipe Site - Small Revenue

Hello there.

First off I'd like to give you a bit of background information regarding this site. I purchased it from somebody in January in the hope of making money from it with Google AdSense. My plan was to heavily promote it and then put AdSense on it, however due to other sites and commitments I didn't get round to promoting it, but I did put AdSense on it to see if it'd earn me anything.

I put Google AdSense on it on the 23rd of January 2010 and to this day it has made £1.72, which is around $2.60. Not much, but it is still revenue, which is alright considering I did no promotion of the site.

I believe if the site were to be promoted and have SEO done it could earn a nice amount of passive income. People are always searching for cake recipes and the site is very low maintenance - I haven't had to do anything to it at all. You could add new recipes if you wanted, which may drive more visitors, or you could leave it be. But like I said, with some SEO and promotion it could earn a lot more.

just wanted to know where do you get the recipes and if there is any work to be done on it on a daily basis

 

Hi,

I believe some recipes were from cook books and others from free to use recipes on other sites. The owner before me did them all. There is no work to be done at all, unless you want to add recipes. I just let it sit there with the recipes that are currently on it.

Forgot to mention, the domain is with GoDaddy and will be pushed to the winners GoDaddy account. A GoDaddy account is free. The site is hosted on my reseller and I'll keep it on there for a month after the winning date, in case you have no hosting. I will backup all of the files and send them over, so you can switch hosts if you wish. If you want to keep it hosted with me then I'll accept $2/month.
