Saw some dramatic changes in the SERPS over the last few hours, and my current SERPS look very similar to what I saw on Google's caffeine preview site at http://www2.sandbox.google.com/ when I was checking last week. Also, the number of search results seems to have grown in production search, which would seem to be another indicator that Caffeine went live. Of course, all of this just based of off my sites and where I was, and am now ranking in the SERPS. Not terribly scientific....
Weird.. It has changed back.. Appears that they rolled out caffeine serps for 30 minutes.. Must be work to do still.
I think Google Caffeine might be still under beta testing. You would find a number of not so relative results from its SERP result pages.
One time I check regular google site and sandbox google, one minute they are the same or very near for what I am searching, then later they are different. Go figure.
No, that's not weird - that's normal. For some reason changes to Google's index are hardly ever permanent immediately. They appear sporadically until they settle down.
There's a google backlinks and PR update happening I guess thats why Google is dancing and your SERP is not steady
I also think some major part of Caffein has been integrated in the main index. I used to keep the firts 3-4 positions for certain keywords, but last 2 months I was nowhere for some of these (between page 5 & page 10) in the general index, meanwhile I kept these positions in 2.sandbox.google.com. Today noticed that my rankings returned as they were before in the main index for several sites. That's what make me think its the Caffein implementation, not the PR update...
Yeah, it is about the PR update. I see some changes in my keyword SERPs - but these are changing nearly every day
AS SEO-Watchdog, says, these are daily and prevalent changes. And the caffeine update will not be done at an instant. The update will be gradual spread over many months.
Okay I have watched this and decided to wait to post and now I can confirm that there is definately a flux that looks like caffeine dc serps in regular Google. I am noticing now for the past couple of hours that if I sign out of my google account I get what appears to be caffeine serps however when signed in I get the same results of a couple of days ago. it seems these new serps have spread to some more data centers.
Confirmed Baree, I've also seen a huge ranking improvement in most of my websites in Google.com However, could be just a test as only few DC's showing results that are almost the same as caffeine.
I've noticed a few fluctuations in positions today but only a few so nothing that would yet convince me that Caffeine was currently being rolled out. Then again, I might just have been seeing results from data centres that haven't yet been updated.
The funny thing is my Google toolbar crashed for some reason so I installed a new one. It was immediately after that the results changed. I have ran this test both signed in and signed out of Google and get what appears to be Caffeine results.
