There are some sites which keep caching the search results of google, yahoo or alltheweb for hot keywords and offer that as their original content. These sites appear in the first page(s) of google for such keyworkds!
Is this OK for google or does it see it as duplicate content?

Yes like some proxies do. I am sorry that I did not explain this in a better way :)

What I mean is like doing this:

    - Getting the top 100 searches or keywords that I find important
    - Grabbing the search results of the each keyword from google or alltheweb, modifying them and viewing them on my site as original content

There are many sites that do this. Is this considered duplicate contents?

proxy sites are cheating from you and everybody.

if proxy sites has cached your web site, your original content may drop from the google index.

it's a know problem but google does not care it:mad:

Oki, but as far as is know, if google FIRST indexes your site and after that, the proxy, then you should be oki: the proxy site will have duplicate content and your site will be the one with original content... Or am i wrong ?

Nothing of the sort, if Google deems the second site more authorative you're gone.

With the Ops question, the search results of say Google arn't cached. So if a site grabs a results page and displays it as an indexable webpage what's it a duplicate of?
