Hello friends, This is my first post in this forum. I would like to ask that if a website is being cached by google, does this mean that it is also indexed by google and vice versa.??
Nope. Cached - when your webpage was visited by SE spiders Indexed - when your site is already included/ added to the SE's list of websites
cached pages are indexed. caching is a good way to get indexed as you don't have to submit site and wait for search engine to it.
What is the point of adding your URL to google when it can itself be cached in Google. Google will spider your website somehow, there is no need to add your URL now.
The object is to get ALL of the pages indexed as fast as possible. Part of this index process is to create a copy (cached) for their use.
I tend to agree with you but the OP wanted to know if it's worth to add your website when it can be cached by Google. Simple answer is 'No'. Don't add it, it can still be cached by Google!
it does not mean cached. google will run some queries on that cached pages to decide for indexing or not
