Yesterday I checked my site on Google site:www.equitour.co.uk and saw that 5 or 6 pages had been indexed with a date of 9th January

Today I check and there are no dates and the dates in cached are the 1st January.

    Is something wrong?

I wouldnt pay much attention to those results. Queries for back links and site index - Google will sometimes provide old data or non at all. I think they do this to discourage automated / repeated queries that can bog down their servers.

Google has been having issues with their cache dates for months. It seemed as though they had almost fixed it, but I have been noticing issues the past few days. Usually, if you search for your domain name, minus the extension, you can see the cache date next to the home page of your site (if that is what you are looking for).
