I have noticed that my home page cache on Google does not display a cached page. It simply shows a page with a url and a load of text from Google! Other internal pages show cache correctly. Is there a reason for this? Problem with home page? Banned content? Any help appreciated. Thanks
try using both www.domain.com and domain.com Because in case of my blog domain.com is not cached but www.domain.com is cached Thanks...
Not sure I understand that, sorry. If I use a search phrase on Google that then lists the results and my home page appears in the listing. If I click the link it takes me to the home page as you would expect. If I click the Cached link the I see a load of Google code that means nothing! Just curious if there could be some problem with the home page as internal pages display perfectly!
If I were you, I would post your question in the Google webmaster forum. I doubt anybody outside of Google is going to know why you are seeing those bizarre results.
Sure it's not the usual Google text "Cached version of..." messing with your own code?. Url or screenshot would be of help.
I'm seeing the same thing for the home page of an established site. Cache: shows a string of characters and then states "cache:5bgL2qh4YX0J:yoursite.com/ site:yoursite.com did not match any documents". Internal pages are ok. Home page is indexed which is strange.
