    as far as i know, u cannot purchase a .ca domain unless you're a canadian citizen.

    Godaddy sells them. However pacmannia is right you have to have a Canadian presence to buy them.

    that is a restriction by .ca registry. several cctlds make such restriction

    Lots of panel like rediff and other not providing .ca domain. I am in doubt why only canadian can buy .ca domain.

    you can buy at namecheap.com.... and no, i even bought a .ca name without being a resident over there. (you state you are a resident, but no one cares to check it) you can even tell you live abroad but you are also a Canadian citezn.

    I think .EU is the only one you can't purchase unless you are an EU resident.

    You're right, they do, but you can purchase a .US without being a US citizen, or even living in the US.

    I think you can register almost any restrictive country extention like .ca, .us, etc... until someone rat's you out and you loose the name.

    Im glad .ca's are exclusive to Canadians - keeps them in the family...eh!
