Hi everyone, questions here for the SEO guru's out there... 1. How are people faring using Canadian (.ca) domains in SEO efforts? 2. Are you getting good positions with proper optimization/link building? 3. Are the rankings just in Google Canada, or do these rankings spread to other versions of Google? 4. How about Yahoo? Etc.... Any insight would be greatly appreciated.....
Yes, i've had a couple of clients based in Canada. I've had some decent rankings, bottom of page 1 and top page 2. They wanted Google Canada only, so I submitted to google.ca. Same goes with Yahoo. Yahoo was easier to get ranked at the top. Just follow white hat techniques and you should be fine. Don't forget to submit your sitemap.xml to the correct SE's.ca and do directory submissions in .ca and start building from there. Not sure how much seo you know, but if you can do on/off page optimization, link building, etc... you shouldn't have much trouble ranking in .ca
