So I just bought a SSL cert from hostgator for my site which is a C.O.M.O.D.O seal. All they give you is an image? Its not even clickable to any site information. Just an image.......... Whats up with that? Very dis-pleased..

COMODO have what they call a "Corner of Trust" which is little (or not-so-little) red triangle in the corner of your website. Rather than clicking it, users can roll their mouse over it to verify the ownership of the website. Presumably, if you have a certificate signed by COMODO then you should be able to get this "Corner of Trust".

There's a press release about it here whith an example in the lower-right corner.

It's all a load of bollocks security-wise but if it gains the confidence of your visitors and increases sales then it's probably wirthwhile.

Normal SSL Certificates from Comodo will have no problems authenticating in all major browsers. I have to agree that their site seal doesn't work as well as others though.
