C Class IP Addresses

    Hello..

If we host multiple sites with one webhost...

would you suggest getting dedicated IP addresses for each website? that way they are each scene as their own entity?

if so, I assume I should look for C Class IP addresses? If I do this, what is a good place to look? and, is there anything i should be aware of - up front?

Are you going to, or, are you cross linking between them right now?

if the sites are related, then linking one site with another will not be an issue as long as you are not doing heavy linking. if you get unique class C IP for each site, then certainly that will give you unique links but you have to calculate the retun of investment. see how much it would cost and what would be the benefit. there are lot of free methods of getting backlinks out there and all you have to do is to spend some time to get them

better go for different c class ip only if you going to interlink all website else it is worthless to do interlinking. Of course it will be helpful traffic wise but no SEO benefit

There are hosting providers who will assign random IP to basic account every time you add new domain or create subdomain.
Many times you will get different Class C range.
    dreamhost is one of them
You just cant add them all at once, day - few days apart.
What I do I create a subdomain, check its IP and then if it is different to my satisfaction i will add domain ( which ) will get the same IP if added same day.
Then I delete the subdomain i used for testing.
That is how it works on dreamhost.
Last year, they had 10s and 10s different Classes, some form Germany, Poland and US of course.
This year I noticed only few so far.:D

If you are using heavy linking, what is considered the optimal amount (where the amount of links from the one domain max out their benefits), assuming that you use a separate c class for those sites? In an effort to figure out the cost ratio.

I seriously doubt if someone on this forum can answer your question without heavy testing first :D
