Hey everyone, I just got done designing my new blog theme that I will have coded pretty soon. Here it is: http://i30.tinypic.com/20icpy0.gif I'm just looking for some opinions on how I could improve it. Constructive criticism and feedback is much appreciated!
google the following term colour wheel look for blue..now look at the colour directly opposite it. that is what would work well. They're called complementary colours. can't go wrong.
no problem. I don't really like the dots on the top menu bar.I dunno what it is but it's offputting. Maybe it's just me? I suppose it depends on what colours you introduce. Orange is the complementary colour..try and make it warm like the blue you picked. (google warm and cool colours if you don't know what i mean) If you really want to keep dots in menu..might i suggest you could change it orange..and move it above the bar into header, with a few px space. and have the dots start from right side..and ending about halfway above the contact button. if that makes sense? you would then need to introduce the orange carefully in sidebars without overdoing it. (i personally don't like orange) You don't have to use orange.. maybe black for dots? ..or even orangee and black dots? and orange and black on sidebars..
The design is not bad at all but I agree with the others, it needs another colour apart from blue and white.
Thank you very much for your input. I have updated my design a bit with a little bit of orange in it. What do you think of it now? http://i30.tinypic.com/347ha9e.gif
