Something new: from here: http://devoracles.com/say-bye-bye-t...n-welcome-or-not-googleadsgdoubleclicknet/629
well, if you look on a page's transfers which has 3 ad units, there are actually 3 requests to googleads.g.doubleclick.net and each is way above 300 ms :-s
Actually Google acquired DoubleClick.net thats why All adsense ads re now redirected through DoubleClick.net server. This Acquisition can change the way the advertising works, DoubleClick is one of the major player in ad serving agency, they are innovators for many technologies. This will surely increase the CTR and will change the experience of Surfing with adsense ads.
I'm not sure about the CTR, cchetanonline. While using AdSense it's not uncommon for me to have 10%+ CTR, with the Doubleclick ads I never was able to manage a CTR higher than 1 per cent. That's kinda low. Also, the acquisition of Doubleclick why should bring with itself the redirection of the AdSense connection? That's nonsense. I'm kinda inclined to say they "fixed" something which wasn't broken. I think the author is right. We don't see any benefit from this redirection, more than that, it just makes our sites slower, just my 2c.
