Considering they haven't even shut down their old social network platform, Orkut yet... I kind of doubt it.
They should have stuck to the design & functionality they had when it first got launched. That new stuff is so broken and retarded. I use G+ almost on a daily basis, but it's like a love-hate relationship. If it goes, not much will be lost for me. If it stays, I will still be using it. If facebook goes, not much will be lost for me either, for that matter.
They really need a Google+ API that actually is good for something (currently it's more or less only read-only).
It's not going anywhere.. at least not for a long time.. All of the link-bait articles being shat-out today are based on "unnamed sources", "unconfirmed sources" and plain old FUD..
I guess G+ will not die in the way that will not be available anymore. It will be a "walking dead" like Techcrunch said. So, will still be there but with no team behind or just a little team that can`t compete with other social networks. I will say that my opinnion is that G+ died because it was not user friendly. Usability was a disaster.
i never open g+ in my life after seen it once last year, orkut is still alive lemme see my old profile
I also don't likes to see the Google+ but people says it helps in SEO that's why I use to open it few times a week.
The article and similar other articles are just click-bait articles. G has categorically denied the news.
The amount of work that Google has done to get people to notice G+ is astounding. Do you really think after all the time and money they invested they're going to sack the whole thing? Seriously, headlines like that don't even serve as "link-bait". Applying the smallest bit of common sense will get you to the conclusion that all of this is bs.
One word answer: Orkut. They poured a lot of money into that as well. Whether they let G+ go idle like Orkut or drop it altogether, it's fading away. One sound business practice Google does follow is to cut bait, and not keep feeding an unproductive venture.
Yeah, but how much effort did they put into Orkut? And then how long did they wait before they just parked it and left it in idle for all eternity? I'm not saying that they're never going to drop the project, but after ALL this work they've put in and are continuing to put in, do you really think we'll see an announcement about G+ shutting down anytime in the nearest two years? I don't think so.
You are right, but they are not Google and they are not citing any official source either. I would disregard it as a rumour if I were you.
google+ coming to an end? sorry i doubt it ! seriously ! google never closes anything. whatever is associated with google works sooner or later. they just dont give up
