Why is that thing dated 18 Feb 08? Has Rob got a time machine?
Great decision not a moment too soon. Lets start shooting scammers on sight then we might have a forum worth boasting about again.

You could make a post saying you want to exchange currency, in a thread about the banning of said trades. Oh wait, you already done that...

All I can say it's about time. Currency exchanges is where most of the scams come from.

I like this rule as i have never dealt in anything besides paypal. I disagree about the banning of loan threads though.

There's nothing in that announcement about loan threads. I guess if you were somehow promoting a currency exchange in a loan thread you might have the thread banned?

I think it is great, a lot of disputes and scams occur when the currency exchanges took place, one party paid to the other party and the other party never honored his agreement to pay back in a different currency ending up in a "ABCXYZ scammed me" situation. Seem too many of those.......With these gone I expected the "ABCXYZ scammed me" will be down a lot.

i think there were a lot of DP users scammed with those exchanges but stumbles/digg exchanges are perfectly fine i'd say.

Funny, I must have caught it before an edit or something. Check the link in my original post it points to a slightly different version of the announcement.

    very nice.
    have been waiting for this.

i have been scammed by a reputable DP member with 10 green blocks on my second trade a year back. :(
1st trade went well but for second trade of $300, scammed. Keep claiming the paypal is limited and not his pp account.

about time to ban such threads. good step!

You might want to reveal the name, and leave negative iTrader!
