That's what is called sarcasm. If there is no PR, then I would be stupid enough to worry about my page strength all day. If I were Google I would start charging yearly subscriptions for the pr tool bar. $49.99 a year. That would be a great bargain to watch a toolbar updated three times a year with outdated info. Do you agree? .
Agree that Alexa is a crap. PageRank works better than how alexa works. Backlinks building is harder to cheat with because it cost loads. But once again, any system that are made around us benefits the richer.
By what to replace PageRank? Well i guess... "Yahoo Backlinks" or "cache dates" I think google has managed to finally piss off webmasters and PR has no relevance anymore since i see them being like little kids... "Im taking my bat and ball and going home" thx malcolm
Yahoo Backlinks -> lol quite relevant But cache dates nothing here to say if it whas a good site (visit, recommandations etc..) or not.
There's no need to replace page rank with anything. PR does nothing so there's really no need for it.
I think keyword position is also a good replace, my website pr is still zero, but my some keyword have get good position, and get some traffic.
temporal link analysis If they replace the PR value of a site/page with a default value of 1 the google algo will stll work and deliver relevant results. They have already tested this out.
You might as well as ask what to replace Google with? A dead end question. Pr is there, will stay there, and learn to live with it
If someone had the disk space and bandwidth to do this you could probably make good money from this but only after PR (if ever) is no longer publicly visible.
