By January 1st, I plan to make $500/mo from Adsense

What else should we focus on?

I'm still trying to get into my first house! My wife and I just got married in October. We're 22 and 23.

I suppose we'll get there but it takes work!

 

Yes, that should be what it's really about-- releasing quality websites so that everyone can benefit. I like the way you think!

 

Personally, I don't prefer to use CMS as I like to code mostly everything myself; except, in some cases you just have to! So I know what you mean. My file hosting site and my directory site are both on a CMS.

 

It's all about the quality and SEO!

The hardest part for me is just GETTING users to my sites. In fact, that's still my biggest problem no matter how much I make. I'm sure it's the same for most people.

 

Same here! I'm spending a lot more than I'm earning actually. This is why I'm looking for cheaper dedicated servers; the one I'm on now gives me unmetered bandwidth though and that's hard to beat!

 

What's your site? I'd like to see! Perhaps you can list it in some of the many directories we have here to get it promoted!

 

I know exactly what you mean. I'd love to just cover the rent for my apartment with what I make online! This way, my wife and I could save up for the house we want.

I'm actually working on turning that site over as we speak! Building a Smarty template engine into it and everything. Also, I'm going to do adsense profit sharing like this forum does .. because it's awesome.

 

I need 1,000 bucks/month....at least...

well thanks to all the tips i've been picking up here at DP im finally making on average $10.68 a day Blogging. Since december 1st i have $168 which is pretty good compared to $30 before. My goal is to keep it interesting enough for people to come back

 

i love everyone's optimism in here. It certainly is motivational. But when you say your goal is to increase revenue, how exactly do you plan on acheiving this? Reoptimizing adsense placement, creating new content, buying advertisements? I think it will be more beneficial to let people know how you plan on doing it

Yeah! I could retire on $10K/mo.

Sometimes Google will pay $1+ for a single click. If you market the hell out of a website, you will get multiple clicks that will surpass your $1/day hope!

Just make sure you don't resort to spam. Yuck.
