As some of you may know, today was the Keynote Speach for Apple CEO, Steve Jobs. http://www.engadget.com/2006/01/10/steve-jobs-keynote-live-from-macworld-2006/ He announced the name of the new Powerbook - MacBookPro. So I figured if there were any related domains available. I just got... buymacbook.com everythingmacbook.com ... And a few others... Can I get some opinions and test the water a little with this one? What should I do... I'd like a quick return if possible so selling them would be ideal. But I'd like a fair amount for them (High expectations), so is it just worth me building on them instead? What do you think? If someone fancies making an offer by PM that would be cool too, but this really isn't an auction or sale... Oh, and what should I do with andsense.com? Any help appreciated.
Well, I think domains have pretty much lost their value. (Eventhough I just spent £1200/$2600 on a domain a few weeks ago) I don't often see these kind of domains go for much money. If I owned it and have the resouces, I would probably make it into a forum / informational site, chuck adsense on there and sell it a few months down the line when it's generating a few dollars/day. I wouldn't expect to get more than $100 for the domain alone if someone wants it. Just check the domain selling bit of this and similar forums and you'll see where I'm coming from. I also just checked, and it seems 'macbookpro.com' isn't registered? Wouldn't that be a much better domain?
Huh... Missed that. Haha. I cot a few good ones in there - also, I figure that macbookpro.com is a step too far for me. Thanks for the opinion on the domain. I'm more than happy to build sites on them, and I'm sure with the few I got, they could make a least a nice residual income. I've never done the 'domain thing' before and thought it was worth a try... Cheers for the help.
all macbookpro.tlds taken already, so I think you did the right thing after all. I think you may try to sell it now, right after the speech, while it's still on the news
