Buying websites on SEDO

This is one business idea I've never done before (buying an already existing website). There's one I'm looking at on SEDO that I want pretty badly. However I read their terms and I think it is complete BS...unlike on ebay, when you bid during the last 5 minutes of the auction, the auction extends by 10 minutes and keeps extending as long as there are additional bids. I was really disappointed to read that and was wondering if it is actually possible to win a site for a reasonable amount of money on SEDO?

I am not too happy with SEO either. First of all their system is full of problems.

Regarding the time extend I dont think its a good idea. But hey what can you do, its there system and they make the rules.

ugh, nevermind - the idiot selling this site had a reserve of $50,000...he must be on drugs if he thinks he'll get even 1/16th of that much. It blows my mind how people have this warped sense of what they think things are worth.

You could try flippa.com as well. Lot of traffic there as well.

hahahhahaa...ok, this is great. This is a 4-word domain. I really, really want it though. I offered $1,000 and he countered with $100,000 - LOL. What an idiot. I gave a final offer of $1250.
