Hello All, From last some times I have heard that many fake SEO buy traffic with some $$ for their clients. I know those are scammers. But I am eager to know what are negative effects from Search Engines? Would SEs able to track such traffic? How long such traffic can support to rank well for any site?
Fake traffic is exactly what it stands for: Fake. You cannot sustain any rankings with fake traffic. Consistent original traffic is what should be targeted for; even if the traffic volume is small, consistent traffic will make wonders for your site.
As rai123 said, it's just going to be a waste. And since traffic has absolutely no impact on the search rankings, it's not worth worrying about either.
Forget about those fake traffic which bring non-profit to both webmaster or the advertiser. Get the natural traffic even you need to spend on time to work on it
You can use traffic exchanges that are free which will drive traffic to your site. It's not targeted though so its really ineffective. I would never buy traffic though.
Fake traffic can help , as long as it si coming from different IPs, with Google toolbar turned on, and with 'send usage data' to Google turned on, Google will think many people are visiting the site, remember also you can install the analytics toolkit on your site so Google knows who is visiting your site from where.
