Hey , I am wondering, if it's true. I have seen people selling traffic on eBay also some sites that promise you a target visitor. anyone with good info about it thanks.
Targeted Traffic runs the gamut in what is actually is. Some of it is redirects from expired domain names, some of it is popup or pop under traffic from high traffic websites, and plenty of them are just outright scams (software generated hits). Generally all of these programs give you results in terms of statistics but only the good ones will give you results in terms of sales, signups, ad clicks, etc. Think of a good targeted traffic campaign as the online equivelant of a direct mail postcard. Someone glances at the message and they either throw it away (close the browser window), show and interested and save it for later (bookmark your site), or immediate act on it (buy your product, sign up for your newsletter, etc.). The key is displaying the right message to the visitor. Almost all targeted traffic campaign directed to your homepage will fail to produce much. It is best to create a specific landing page just for the targeted traffic.
I have always had really bad luck buying traffic. I wish I knew a place that I trusted to sell me traffic...
