Buying traffic for my affiliate site: Good idea or waste of time and money?

    Hello - I am back to pick the brains of my fellow DP members. Now that I have built a few affiliate sites, I am trying to think of ways to get traffic. Is anyone buying traffic from DP or anywhere else? If so, what has your experience been? Suggestions for ways to get traffic would be appreciated as well...

    If you are buying traffic in hopes of it converting to sales then it is a big waste of your time and money.

    If you want to make sales then you need to be using PPC, SEO, or Bum Marketing. Traffic is not enough. You need targeted traffic in order to make sales.

    You write keyword optimized articles about under-exposed niches, submit them to popular article websites, let the search engines pick them up, earn affiliate commissions, get opt-in signups or make money from selling your own products.

    Instead of buying traffic just get some writers to write you articles or try PPC.

    Don't buy traffic. Follow the suggestions above instead. Years ago I sent about 10000 visitors to my affiliate site and only make 1 sale. If you can still make a profit from that then go ahead.
