    Is it ok if we buy traffic (basically use the paid services where they direct traffic .. could be through ads or email.. ) and direct them to our adsense pages ? Is it allowed by the TOS ?

    TOS aside, you'll lose $ so don't waste your time. The only people who make any real $ off selling traffic are the ones who sell it.

    Yes, you can, but it should be contextual ads, or you will loose.
    Google calculates cpc depending on your traffic source and traffic from not relevant sources will have low cpc.

    What about the no referral source link? It must be relevant, right?

    Not true. Revenue potential is not tied to the source of the traffic. Google doesn't know where all of your traffic comes from.

    If that is the case, I think StormClix is very good to advertise your site. You can sell 1 cent per click (20 seconds timer). It is cheap compared to others.

    i don't think so
    but i know that google gives higest cpc to it's own traffic, i mean if someone comes to your site from google serps and then click on ads you will get highest cpc.

    Hmm... simple mathematics.

    Look... you need to know 2 figures: your site's ECPM and how many pages your users browse in average. For example your ECPM is $4 and each user browses 10 pages in average.

    Then go to adwords.google.com and find keywords in which you want to position you ads promotion. For example you've made a nice choice and the keywords cost you only $0.05 per click.

    Do the following calculation:
    X = (Cost of promotion ad) * 1000
    X means cost of 1000 visitor that come from your promotion on adwords
    Y = ECPM * (Pages per visitor)
    Y means how much you earn from your 1000 visiotors.

    If X < Y then there is sense to buy such promotion.
    If Y/X is more then 2 then you SHOULD buy as much such promotion as possible, because you start earning money.

    Lets test it with our figures.
    X = 0.05 * 1000 = $50
    Y = 4 * 10 = $40
    X > Y. If you make any promotion in such case, you'll loose $10 with every 1000 visitors.

    But... all figures depent on how targeted keywords you have selected and on how targeted visitors will come to your site. If all visitors will be realy interested, they may increase average number of pages per visitor and the figures will change.

    Also there is one more factor. If visitors like your resource, they will come again. If you can be sure that for example 30% of them will return at least once in future then the calculation of X chages to:
    Y = ECPM * (Pages per visitor) * (1 + 30%)

    In our example Y = 4 * 10 * 1.3 = $52
    In this case X < Y and there is small sense to make promotion. You will earn 2$ from each 100 visitors.

    So... calculate it yourself for your figures and make your choice.

    Have fun
