Buying text links?

    Hi,
I've used text-link-ads.com before, but don't like the fact they charge 50% of the sale price...

Does anyone else know a place to buy high pagerank links (pr 6+)?

    Thanks!

    Keith

I have used text-link-ads and they are very expensive and don't bring much traffic. How about Adbrite they bring good traffic but not sure if there links count toward building your PR.

Amen! Seller gets 100% of profits, so it is generally cheaper than TLA. Seller can charge 70% of TLA, and make 20% more, with more sales. (In theory).

Just my 2 cents here, but I've used TLA and Linkworth both (and a few others as well), and while I agree that you get more traffic for cheaper rates from places like AdBrite, you still get better traffic from links purchased through TLA, Linkworth and etc.

If you're just looking to drive up visitor numbers then AdBrite is a great option, but if you want conversions or any kind of honestly targeted traffic I think it is better to go with the others. You'll pay a bit more, but the ROI will be greater. I'd rather spend $15 for 100 visitors that convert into 4 sales than $5 for 1,000 visitors that only convert into 1 sale (if you're lucky) any day.

As for buying/selling links here at DP, I want to agree that its still the best option, but every time I see "permanent PR6 links under $10" being offered I lose more and more faith in the DP marketplace.

Again, just my 2 cents worth...
