anyone knows what are the prices for links from pr1-4 sites (sites without many outgoing links). i'm considering buying text link ads on some. i'm asking about the seo hardlink , not the traffic. any ideas?
i saw a site called http://direct-link-ads.com give that a try also, i have two PR3 sites, i am ready to sell links on that site. give me your price and i shall think about it
Visit site like teliad.com, textlinkads.com, ask2link.com to get a fair idea of the prices involved. Usually I have seen prices around $120 for PR 3 yearly link.
It depends on many factors like niche, quality of the site, etc. You can get an idea here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=58
it also depends from where you buy..if you buy from broker you will pay more for the same quality then you buy directly from the sites owner...I think forums is a good place to buy cusz people are willing to sell very cheap. so look at this forums trade section and see for yourself how much it is!
Checkout AdhocAds.com. Our prices for link vary, from publisher from publisher, as each publisher sets their own prices. All of our ads are sold on a per month basis, and for pr1-pr4 are generally from $2 per month to $20 per month. I'd like to caution you, however, that PR is not the best guide to use when determining a link's value. You need to make sure to look at other factors as well, including relevency, uniqueness, traffic, and Google backlinks. This article on the "Top 6 Factors to Consider When buying Text Link Ads" should help. is not the best guide to use when determiningine prices, however, as a very, VERY rough guide, you should consider..
The best is to buy permanent links. If you rent the links, the small fees add up quickly. It's a little more work to find web masters that sell permanent links, but it is well worth it (Unless you want to bump up a site and flip it. But then I would still not recommend it. If you can say that the links are permanent, you will get a much better price).
I agree with trying to find permanent links where you can. They are hard to find, though, and the prices are generally alot higher. The ones you find will usually be of lesser PR. The going rate for a permanent link is about 10-12 times the price of a monthly link, and it's almost always buried 2 or more clicks from the homepage. And as newer content comes into a site, there's no guarantee that a deep linked page will retain it's PR. So, it's a bit of a toss up, in my option. Paying per month guarantees you the inbound PR for as long as you're subscribed, and it keeps you link on the homepage of a site, increasing the direct hits you get from it as well as the SEO benifits.
There is no question that rented links have the same SEO benefit as "owned" links. I just like to keep on-going costs down as much as possible. But I strongly disagree with: In my experience deep linked pages with PR will keep that PR for A LONG time. There is usually A GOOD reason why they got the PR. In many cases you can trace down the reason to A VERY STRONG backlink from an authority site to that exact deep linked PR page. While there is NO Guarantee in SEO (Unless you own Google), there are things that are likely and things that are less likely.
If the site is stagnant, then I would agree. Or, if the page remains in the exact same link path. For example, if the homepage links directly to the page in question. However, in a blog, where newer content is always pushing older content further from the hompage, PR goes away frequently. Here's a very common senerio. Lets say there's a blog that has great new articles about once per month, with a teaser of the last 10 articles displaying on the homepage. Each article has it's own details page where the full article is displayed. The homepage has a PR of 4. Now lets say a google pagerank update comes to pass, and all of the articles pages that had a teaser on the the homepage were assigned a PR of 1, just because they are linked to from the pr4 homepage, and becuase of their proximity to the homepage (one click away). Now, over time, as newer articles are posted, those pr1 articles articles will drop off of the homepage. Now they are two clicks away form the homepage. In order to get to them, you have to click on the 'previous entries' or 'archives' link. The next pagerank update comes along, and see's that the PR4 homepage no longer links directly to the articles, and so the articles drop from pr1 to a pr0, and all of the articles that are now on the homepage are assigned a pr1. I'm aware of this senerio becuase this happens on a few sites that I did some SEO for. Its a repetitive cycle. I'm not saying that there aren't deep pages that will always keep their pr. I'm not even saying that most of them will change. All I'm saying is that deep pages are difficult to find in the first place, and can be volatile. And unlike paying for a homepage link per month, if you pay a permanent price for link, nd it loses it's pr a month later, you can't stop paying for it.
that some great insights here. of course i was referring to high relevancy links, and if possible, in text links rather than footer or other cluster of links. i've summed up the link traders mentioned here, for future reference: direct-link-ads.com teliad.com ask2link.com textlinkads.com AdhocAds.com textlinks.com textlinkbrokers.com
