I know there are a bunch of sites that do this, but I'm wondering what sites you guys recommend to buy stock online.
We have a small account with Ameritrade. The broker usually handles all the larger stocks with First Data, Western Union, Cisco, Oracle, etc but Ameritrade has a little in it, about $10,000 or so - mainly for smaller start-ups and to play with from time to time.
Scottrade has a lot of local offices around the US, so it's good if you need help getting things setup. They have great customer service and low commissions too. Otherwise, TradeKing and FreeTrade are two of the cheapest I've seen around. Personally, I use TradeKing and haven't had a problem with them at all.
I would recommend Ameritrade iZone. It is cheaper than regular Ameritrade - trades are $5 instead of $9.99. http://www.izone.com
anybody who wants my cargolifter stocks? this company tried to build helium blimps a few years ago to transport heavy freight cheap and easy to any location. they even had some working 1:8 prototypes done, but now the construction hall is some kind of caribbean entertainment park with pools, palmtrees and sand...
I would use or look into Scottrade, but if your more hands on and into a day trader like. I would check into a http://www.optionsxpress.com/ Of course it's targeting option trading but can be used for normal trading as well! But again, this is why I say more for a day trader or serious trading!
