Has anyone noticed a real downturn in the buy/sell site thread
Alot of really quality niche sites seem to be selling for less and less

A year ago i use to be able to sell a well written unique site for $100+ but now they go very cheap

Do you think its due to the low cost unique articles are available at?

Im not just having a moan because im struggling to make any money! seems sites in general are going for alot less now

absolutely yes. people are flooding the market with $15 sites. then everyone expects all sites to be dirt cheap, and no one is buying at a fair price anymore. same thing happened in the 'content' section last year, now 'sites' are losing value.

the problem is ppl are slowly realizing

the traffic and screenshot they show for earning

doesnt stay like that after it is sold..

because now days..you got to push your site everyday to get the visitors..

    you stop.. your traffic dries

So no point buying a cheesy blog or site.. which will dry up quick..

Only thing very profitable would be forums

Forums with 5k 10k members and active members around 1k online each time..

atleast the buyers gets email list of members who signedup..and can also contact them whenever admin has something special to offer..

Forums are hard to copy.. as its based on mysql.

but nobody is selling their forums

Sell at sitepoint if you're worried about the value here at DP.

This is due to many people offering same service which lead to them to price their product at competative rate to attract buyer.

I think a major issue is also the fact that these people buy these niche sites but they never pan out to be profitable, they want sites with hard and long earnings.
