When you buy a PR6 or PR5 etc....do you normally retain that page rank for a while or what? Could someone please explain that to me :)

It depends if the backlinks to the domain are good and remain intact, then you will retain the PR.

This thread shud be moved, as its not a Buy/Sell request

Tell me please how to calculate Google PR?

For example Alexa ranking (for example 1000) shows that your site is among 1000 most visited websites.

    What shows Google PR?

Think of a number between 0 and 10, any number, no seriously.

Alexa is traffic based (highly manipulable)
PR is backlink based (highly manipulable). :)

Like others said it depends on the number of links coming back to your site and what the PR for those sites linking to you.

you can use this site to check PR http://www.checkpagerank.com/

If the domain attained its PR by linking into internal pages (i.e., not to www.domain.com but to www.domain.com/somepage), and those are wiped after the domain is sold then the PR will fall after the subsequent google PR update.
