Buying old pr domain and creating a site there. can it be negative?

I bought an old pr domain that was dead for the last 2-3 years (I mean without content) I started setting a site there 100% relevant to the title and the backlinks, and also unique content.
The pages appear at info:]www..... but they do not appear at google searches
even at exact searches that show 3 results. it only appear only at www........com exact search (like when it was dead)
Anyone know what is happening? Is there some kind of bann?

 

PR is just a number don't throw money based on a crappy value like PR ...

 

thanks w3bmaster for the answer. I know pr is not as important and valid as it used to be. I just look the age and the backlinks. Ok , let's not say old pr domain but old domain with good backlinks. Same problem.
