    Hi,
I plan to buy a domain >1 year old to bypass the 6-month-old Adsense rule . Will it work?
    Regards.

Do you mean so Google won't class your site as new so you'll do better in SERPs?

I read the Adsense guideline and it said that only sites that are more than 6 months old will be accepted. Is it true?

I've put adsense on sites less than 6 months old and nothing happened, not sure if this is a new rule but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

thats a good move, how ever you should pick a domain thats has not been used to apply for adsense. and ask its owner about details on the doamain if its has been used to apply for adsense before. just to avoid getting rejected by the adsense team. good luck..

    "the 6-month-old Adsense rule"?

config_error is right. Many websites are not allowed to display adsense ads due to
various tos infringement. The adsense accounts are not closed but certain websites are blacklisted
    by Google.

If the domain contains copyright names/brands, ask Google for confirmation. Google emailed
me that I couldn't serve adsense ads on AdsenseForDummiesDotCom.

It is alright because more than 200,000 searches are made monthly for "adsense for dummies".
Despite a one-page site and no backlinks, except from this forum and another big forum, and my
site is on page 1 of G, either 1st or 2nd. One day I will get 50% of that.

I dont understand the 6 month rule. My first site is being launched next week and right now there is just an intro page on line with adsense on it. http://www.localglobalads.com

I signed up for an account for my wife with a blog on blogger.com (owned by google) and was approved in days, you can also sign up with hubpages which uses adsense and directs you to go sign up and you will get approved within days. once approved you can use your pub id to place google ads on any site that meets googles terms of service. it make take a few days for the public services ads to be replaced with real ads but that is normal.

The reason of this rules implemented beause adsense is looking for quality site now, not make for adsense site. It will be fine if you able to put enough unique quality content on it

Just create a blog in blogger.com and edit the dates so that the blog seems to be six months old.. No need to buy domains that are more than a year old. This is the easiest way to do it. ;)
