I do not know the originator of this post and have no clue of his intentions. However, I recently purchased a web site for $XX,XXX and, as the buyer, insisted on using Escrow.com to protect myself and to faciliate a smooth domain name/web site transfer, with no hassles.

Escrow.com acts as a middle man and solves the problem of a buyer transfering funds and the seller transfering title simultaneously. I wired the money to Escrow.com and they held the money until the seller transfers the domain/web site over to me. Only then does Escrow.com release the funds to the seller. Mine was a simple transaction involving a the sale of a domain and a web site with some content, otherwise I would have used a lawyer. And escrow.com is much cheaper.

 

Escrows seems to be good but didnt had any chance to use it. I did all my transaction with paypal or westernunion
