unfortunately not, GD sucks....i emailed them about 30 times regarding the 20 domains that linksys9/creampie/gearhut100 stole from me & they basically say each time "we dont get involved in 3rd party disputes"

its really a shame to see so many damn scammers out there now.....paypal & GD dont help obviously.......looks like another case of having to track down these scammers & go after them legally & w/ fbi/police/states attorneys......this shit has to end already!

Hey Wagz, glad to hear you got your domains back, unfortunately we now have a bigger scammer on the go...
In regards to Godaddy I have a query, the following 3 domains got taken out of my account and now it seems godaddy owns them.

    HZUL.COM
    KUXR.COM
    VUZX.COM

If you check the whois on these, it comes up with , they didn't even expire as they were due to expire in 2009. Anyone had any experience with a situation like this? It's weird because I asked a friend and he told me that this has happened before when the domains have been involved in fraudulent activity.
I don't get Godaddy at all they continue to reply saying they wont get involved in 3rd party disputes yet in this case they have..

yea Im pissed. Something has to be done. Absolutely ridiculous. What I dont understand is that if there is a fraudulent charge for anything, a dinner, then the proprietor still gets the money regardless of whether its fraud or not. Shouldnt we go after the credit card companies?

    Very weird steveboy,
It does show that they are owned by godaddy, we seriously need to file a law suit, they should not be getting away with this stuff.. Now is this a sign to come of what the value of LLLL.COM's will be why scammers are targeting them

Why not use escrow(escrow.com,MB escrow) for $200+ deals as all normal people?
Forget about PP for digital product.
I thought that all know about it todays..

u would think so, but paypal is an weird bullshit biz all to its own.....they basically leave the seller f*cked unless its a tanagible product that you can show proof of delivery receipt for.

so this scam seems perfect b/c godaddy refuses to help, paypal backs the $ out regardless, and then the scammer is left w/ domains.

the key here is to get:
    >local police
    >state police
    >states attorney
    >fbi
    >personal attorney
all involved and lets start sending these theives to jail!!!!!!!

I have like 80 LLLL's that i wanted to move about 20-30 of and now i'm totally gunshy b/c even seemingly reputable users are now scammers. pretty g'damn sad honestly.

i'm all for it, big GD corporation has a known loophole and they continue to allow for this while pleading ignorance b/c its a 3rd party dispute.

What irititates the living hell outta me is that its not a g'damn dispute.....its a SCAM.

unfortunately PP is just so simple to use and i have their debit card so its easy to take money out etc. But unfortunately it seems just as easy for scammers to use.

i just recently started using moneybookers.

i thought it was weird last night that Ash told me she could only pay w/ paypal through a friend....so luckily i didnt move my 10 domains to her

I contacted ASH via email based on her whois info for impliweb.com and she claims to have no idea about what is going on. She even gave me her correct phone # to contact but I have yet to do so.

Did someone hack her handle here on DP? How does that happen? Can we check the IP and see where it ends up? Can Paypal or GD check the IP of the person that sent payment and recieved domains?

    Hello everyone,
I would just like to inform everyone that I was the owner of the account "Ash" and I have just been informed (by bgmv i believe) via e-mail that my account has been hacked.

I would like to confirm to everyone that the account "Ash" was HACKED and was not being operated by me.

Please could DigitalPoint disable the "Ash" account asap and reset the password back to normal so that i can get access to my original account again.

I am very sorry for all those involved in this scam, but i would like to stress the fact that it was not me; it was a hacker who hacked my account and used my account to scam the people in this thread. I have a large solid good reputation as can be seen by my iTrader ratings and my company impliweb.com - I have a good reputation and any members who know me will know that i wouldn't scam anyone.

If there is any way i can help solve the problems that have risen or prove that I am not the one who scammed anyone (maybe through IP checks, or whatever) here please let me know and ill do my best to help.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Ashley Davis

    Hey Ashley Davis,
the problem is now that mods will ban you now for having duplicate accounts...sorry to hear, would have been better to ask someone to speak on your behalf

I got reply from Godaddy. They said like this.

Thank you for contacting TDNAM support.

I do not show any sale of this domain name between you and the buyer via TDNAM. I show that you did purchase the domain name on TDNAM on 2/7/08 but then you did receive the domain name in your account and subsequently moved the domain name to another party. As this looks to be a private sale between you and another party we can not intervene. Thank you for your time.

Please let us know if we can assist you in any other way

See, how GD is helping scammers. I searched whois and this is the scammer who owns this now.

Ashley Davis, odds are you are never going to see the account "Ash" again..That name will be banned and gone forever.
As for this scammer...HAs anyone tried calling the number? If the number isn't real then isn't that against ICANN regulations? Dunno if it will help but it may cause the person to lose their account and/or domains in their account.

Surely the mods on this forum would be able to make an exception? Especially considering that its clear this person was not me. It just seems very unfair that the hacker not only scams loads of people but he also manages to get my account deleted, all my posts worthless and all my iTrader ratings there for nothing....

Ill contact the DigitalPoint staff... hopefully they will understand.

I just recieved this email from ASH aka Ashley Davis:

    "Hi,
I just did a search on DigitalPoint for threads started by "Ash" and i found the thread the hacker started:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=703254

Please could you do me a favor and tell them that this is NOT me and that the account was HACKED. I own a company impliweb.com and my PayPal e-mail address is - so i have a big solid good reputation and hopefully you will believe that the person who posted that thread was not me.

Please could you inform DigitalPoint what has happened and tell them to disable the account as soon as possible in order to rectify the problem.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Ashley Davis"

Well that rules out one person. How do we find other suspects?

The number that we recieved was from the stolen paypal account, so that really is not going to help us.

I think the concentration should lie on the email:

I agree however it was probably a one night stand type of email address. The scum bag probably starts a new email address every day.

Is there anyway gmail.com can help us?
