Buying Links on 100's og Blogs..Does it work for Link Development?

Link Development is a struggle for me and I am thinking of going the paid route. In the link sales section I have seen posts with "600 links on 200 blogs". This seems good, but how helpful is this to your websites? You have 600 links, but how good quality links are this? What are the benefits and disadvantages of something like this in various niches with little to small competition?

The duplicate blogs will generally result in one link back to your site, as all the rest (even if there were a million) will end up in supplemental results, or de-indexed.

Your best bet is a niche blog, like the one in my sig! ;)

why do try some article writing on some articles sites, it works out for me well, I write the article, publish it on web, most of the time visitors to that article reference it together with my link.

From my experience (not much anyway), links on posts make a big difference in markets with low-medium competition. With 9 posts (good quality blogs) a new site got a PR:4 and a good position in Google. However, I've tried the same in competitive markets with more posts and better blogs and it didn't work at all.

Buy posts individually from quality blogs...try to vary the content and anchor..make them look natural.

Buying posts in bulk may help a bit to push PR up, but IMO it doesn't help much in SERPs.
