Where did you heard that? Buying links is 100% legal with Adsense TOS.

It's legal and allowed. They're just trying to discourage the practice, though (with little success).

Buying links is completely different from buying traffic which is definitely not allowed.

I suppose that depends on the agreement between buyer and seller. I stand corrected.

I did. Buying traffic is explicitly not allowed by Google. Anyone who is caught buying traffic, either from "1 million hits" or "1 thousand email/spam" or "traffic from disapproved sources" will get banned.

The best thing to do is contact Google concerning the website you want to buy links from if it is OK. If the website came up to be a spam type system, you will get banned.

    Peace,

    you can exchange,buy,rent,or lease links.
google (as in adsense),has no say what you do to get links to your site.

Google was trying to do something about it a while ago but nothing happened because there is no way to stop millions of sites.

It's legal, Matt Cutts hinted Google will try and stop this a while ago.

links that benefit you in google (the search engine) have nothing to do with adsense.
