I've seen in sales forum here many people post there link farm type Tag cloud site or word links sites (the page contains nothing but about 200-500 links and 2-3 words representing the links) where we can have a permalink for $1-$2. Even they are of high PR do they help in increasing our PR. Is it worth to place links there.
I do not think it is really works, can not get direct traffic from their page, I tried bid links for 1 month on Pr5 page, never got one vistor
No no..not traffic...we can't imagine traffic from these sites..they even have an alexa rank...some exceptions might be there... can they help increasing pr of ours........
Actually some you may find to be lucky, I found one PR5 that I submitted to in a tag cloud dir and I noticed I actually received a BL from it.
it doesnt help much because these are link farms and if you are one link out of 100 others, how much PR do you expect to get? not much to nothing at all
Exactly, don't get textlink for traffic. Textlink or dollarlinking.ca type sites are not designed for the surfer, they are designed for the bots. Also don't expect a higher PR after 1 month. It could take 6 months and you need more than one textlink. Take a look at PR 5 directories and how many backlinks they have, that will give you a good idea of how many textlinks you should get to eventually get that PR.
Also gogle may identify them as link farms......as they r so...some have 500-600 outbound links in those type of site..so you'll get our part of it's pr that is shared by 600 links...so according to the probability distribution pr algo by Google we'll get very less towards our site's pr ..... may be .1
Actually I have a PR3 word cloud... But the good part of it is that it has a feature of publishing articles... So i'll publish some articles in mass, then google will index them without considering the word clouds in any page. Atleast Google wont consider it as a link farm..
I don't think so, I'm getting one pretty soon, I really like that idea. I got a PR4 in less than 2 months using these methods including bidding directories. D.
