Buying links and link exchange

    Hello all,

I want to buy some links and I want to know how bad can this be? Recently I heard a lot of people discussing about Google not taking into account paid links, ... I suppose this rule can be applied for links bought from sites like Text-Link-Ads ... and similar. If I buy a link on a RELATED site, directly from the site owner, will this be bad for my site? Is it worth it?

The second problem is link exchange. How bad is it? As far as I know it is bad only if the majority of the links come from there. In my case, I have few reciprocal links, so I am thinking I can do some link exchanging with at least 60-70 sites, of course, related. What do you think?

    Of course not.

High PR, quality backlink? Depending on the price - yes it's worth it.

3 way link exchange will help you most, and for link buying, it cant hurt you, can only help, even if its unrelated, and it can be worth it most of the time :)

Every link which points to your website can bring you direct traffic.

    Even 'nofollow' links

Our website publicdomainpictures.net receives most of the traffic from Wikipedia which uses 'nofollow' tags. ;)

Google is cracking down on link sales sites offering more than 100 links. Find sites like myn that offer 100 links, google is powerless to do anything with them. Thats what there reports say for their new investigation to get accurate PR's . This may change but it will take a few years yet.

When you say sites offering 100 links are you also talking about directories? Even those are bad?

Reciprocal or exchanging link is slowly losing its value. You can buy links from relevant category.

Hi, As of now one way link is better than reciprocal but for those who want free link still link exchange still helps. Just chose related site.
