Buying High PR Link From Directory Sites

    Dear all,

Can someone help me on the following questions:

    1) Eg, some PR6 directory sites allow me to buy Sponsor Link at $100++ for 1 year. Compare to some text link broker selling PR6 link for (eg. health related site which is similar to my site) for $35/month. The prices are much different buy which one can actually help my site ranking?

    2) For the directory sites, they claimed the price for $100++ are buying PR6 link to me. However i only found the home page is PR6, other sub-directory pages were PR3 or PR4. If i dig into the directory, eg health>skin care, and place the link there, the PR would be PR3. How would search engine "read" this PR? Is PR6 or PR3?

Thank for your expert feedback.. :)

    Darren

    1) What w3bmaster said

    2) It will see it as a link from PR3 page and not a PR6 homepage.

You recive the pagerank benefit of the page your link is on. If the homepage is PR6 yet your link is on a PR2 page the incoming link counts as a PR2 link.

Just buy the one that has more traffic and less links on the page.

    Price is also an issue
