Ity depends how trustworthy the person selling it is

If i was doing it i would probablys just take his word that i would have all the rights to it and wouldnt sell it again

this is a very difficult area because the person your buying from could say he will sell this script once, and once only, but he could be saying the exact same thing to 200 other people he has also sold the script to in the past and in the future.

unless your dealing with a large and reputable company there is not much you can do other than to use your judgement as to the guys character and whether you actually beleive him when he says he will sell to you and only you.

another give away factor is if he is selling the scrip for silly money (i.e $50) you cant really expect for him to sell it only once. if he was selling it for $5000 then its a bit more beleivable that its a one time only sale!

What you want to do is find out whether you are buying the right to use the script or whether you are buying all rights (specifically copyrights) that are or may be associated with the script.

What you want to do is get this in writing. An e-mail should suffice.
