Buying Dropped/Expired Domain Names

I recently got a domain transfered over to me from someone who had registered it back in November 2007.

The Domain is here - This Domain

I didnt know it was a dropped or expired domain at the time but found it on this site as a dropped/expired domain.

Are there any negative effects to owning a site like this .. because I noticed when I google my domain (CLICK HERE TO SEE) with site: it now shows up 4 of my pages, but not the home page and wondered what was up with that?

You can see that - HERE

So please let me know if I have anything to worry about or what I should do about this!

    Thanks

If you intend to develop the site, you really shouldn't bother.. As you develop the site more and more pages would get indexed and eventually the expired links would keep getting shifted to the end of the query ...
Over a period of time, you won't see those links.
work on creating backlinks and promoting your site for the moment !!

    Cheers

there are people buying / selling expired domains all the time...

so dont worry....unless there are problems with the domain being banned or blocked from some sites due to some questionable history etc, expired domains are not a problem...

google is aware that names change hands and they are keen on indexing redone sites, so it will be fine. nice financial/retail keywords in the name too - good luck!
