Buying Domains for Affiliate Marketing

Should I be using a generic domain and adding on subpages for all my Affiliate Marketing products/services or buying a new domain for each product/service?

It seems as though having one domain that's been around for a long time will get the extra edge in the SERPS because you're just adding pages of products to the one site.

Whereas buying a new domain for every new product you market will give you the edge in the SERPS because you'll have the keyword in the title, but you have to keep buying new domains and they are new domains which won't rank well.

Which is the way to go here?

I would guess having the domains for each one would work somewhat better for targeting keywords. But having them all in subdomains would be better cause you could tie it together more efficiently maybe?

looks like what you are trying to do, a generic domain with subdomain for each product will do just fine. once you are done creating all the subdomains, generate a sitemap and submit to google.

Does it matter if you use subdomains or subfolders to put each product on? Is one more effective than the other?

I would use subdomains; easier to manage and cheaper in the long run - as you can just keep adding files, rather than buying domain names each time. I carry a card which has mydomain.com & mydomain.blogspot.com on it. On that website/blog I have link to my other sites, which, for the niche websites are mydomain.com/niche#1,#2 etc. These are all just a sub folder in my web host (ftp) file. Google around and see how many "gurus" use theirdomain.com/subdomain ; )

Speaking in general terms, I aim to target my keyword(s) in either the domain, subdomain or PAGE TITLE, that should be fine.

Depends if the products/services are related.

I would advise you get 1 domain per niche
