Buying domain on godaddy

hi everyone

im new to all this and i was wondering how to buy a domain from godaddy ? how does it work ?

what do they mean by £7.59 p/y ?? do i actually own the domain ? seems like im renting it ??

£7.59 p/y are the registration fees for the domain name. It's registered for your use for 1 year. You'll need to renew your domain every year.

Yes, you own the domain but you're free to transfer the domain to someone else.

It's just marketing trick. You can register your domain name for minimum 1 year and maximum 10 years.

By registering for 3 years - they're trying to get money in advance.

1. new domain
2. auction

for payment, you can use:

1. credit card
2. paypal verified
3. gift cards
